Before LCS I worked at Shen Wai International School in Shenzhen, China, where I served as the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, TOK Coordinator, the Secondary Head of Math, and DP Math, DP Physics and TOK Educator as well as a CAS Advisor. Prior to that I was employed by Innoventures Education in Dubai, serving as the Deputy Head of Secondary at Collegiate American School, along with teaching DP Physics, DP Math and TOK, and also serving as the Head of Science, Gifted and Talented Enrichment Coordinator and teaching TOK, MYP & DP Physics at Dubai International Academy. I received my BSE and MSE in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, along with earning over hours of Professional Development & Post-Graduate studies. I am certified in Math, Physics, Technology & Gifted Education. I have served at the head of several leadership teams that designed and implemented an assortment of curricula in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Gifted & Talented Enrichment, and Engineering Research & Technology. My professional career includes several years as a Professor of Mathematics & Physics and as a Secondary Educator of Mathematics, Business, Physics, Engineering Research & Technology, Robotics, and Aerospace Engineering. Some of my professional accomplishments include roles as Deputy Head of Secondary School, Department Chair, Director of The National Engineering & Science Foundation, Coordinator: Stranahan Technology & Engineering Partnership, Gifted & Talented Enrichment Coordinator and STEM Coordinator. In the past I have presented at the KHDA What Works Futures Conference: Overcoming the Challenges of Integrating Emerging Technologies into Education, the Middle East IB Association 21st Century Learning Conference: Developing and Implementing a Gifted & Talented Enrichment Program, the Professional Conference: Robotics Education in High School - How to use Robotics Education to stimulate interest in Math, Science, Technology and Engineering and at the 19th Annual HSTW Staff Development Conference: Integrating Engineering and Career/Technical Students into a Rigorous and Comprehensive Program. I am also the recipient of the Broward County Business-Education Partnership of the Year Award, State of Florida BEST Business-Education Partnership Initiative, the NSF Aerospace Educator Grant, and a National Semi-Finalist for the Shell Science Teaching Award.
