About David Plough

With over 20 years of experience in digital media and strategic communication, I specialize in creating impactful content, creating collaborative cultures, and driving organizational visibility. As Communications Manager at the Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center, I developed and implemented the center's first communications plan, launched innovative campaigns like "Voices of IPE," and led the "Collaborative Conversations" podcast from conception to execution. In addition to my role with IU IPE, I am an Associate Faculty member at the Indiana University Indianapolis School of Liberal Arts. I designed a new podcasting curriculum that has become one of the most in-demand courses on campus. My teaching emphasizes real-world applications, preparing students for careers in dynamic and ever-evolving fields. My career spans diverse industries, including local news production, IT, and education. Highlights include hosting the IU McKinney "Is It Legal?" podcast, creating campaigns such as "Eat, Sleep, PrEP, Repeat" for the Indiana Department of Health, and having once run audio for Bob Newhart. A passionate sports fan, pop-culture enthusiast, and parent, I thrive on creativity, collaboration, and connecting with others to make meaningful impacts.
