About David Power

Award-winning Chief Executive with 30 years of international banking experience across conventional, Islamic, and digital banking. I lead organisations through complex transformation journeys—modernising core platforms, strengthening governance, and building sustainable, customer-focused growth in highly regulated markets.I have built and restructured banks across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the UK, and South Africa, delivering turnaround strategies, market expansion, and digital innovation. My focus is on translating strategy into execution: launching new products, forming high-value partnerships, and embedding open banking to create simpler, more personalised client experiences.Recognised for pioneering Islamic finance in Southeast Asia, I combine strong commercial discipline with deep respect for culture, ethics, and stakeholder value. I believe leadership is about building capable teams, transparent governance, and institutions that customers trust.I am driven by three principles:• Transform with purpose, not technology alone• Put customers and colleagues before process• Create long-term value over short-term optics
