About David Pratt

Ever since I was a kid, I've been absolutely hooked on all things computers. It's not just about playing video games, but also about uncovering the secrets of how they're built and what makes them tick behind the scenes. Now, I didn't have a lot of money growing up, so i missed out on all the degrees and certifications. But that didn't stop me from scouring every nook and cranny of the internet, from YouTube to Stack Overflow, talk about a rude awakening. Starting out with trivial practices like building a calculator in Visual Studio, printing "Hello, World!" in cmd, I even dabbled in creating a funky little cipher/decipher program that encoded strings in Base64. It's been a wild and rewarding ride. Recently, I've taken my search to the next level by diving into Unity. By making a bunch of demos and microgames, I've built some further confidence in having to tackle vector math, arrays, endless amounts of debugging. The fuel to my fire is only growing hotter I've had my fair share of mundane 9-to-5 jobs just to make ends meet, and they've left me yearning for something more. I'm looking for a career where I can let my inner nerd run wild and free. I want to be that tech-savvy wizard who turns ideas into reality, pushing boundaries and creating something extraordinary. I bring a whole lot more to the table than just passion and a knack for coding. I've taken every free leadership course I could possibly find, I've even taken to looking at old psychology textbooks to figure out what makes an effective leader, and as buggy and hectic as coding can be, i can only imagine that would come in handy. I know my true calling lies somewhere in the world of computers. Software dev, web dev, cyber security, front end or back end dev. I thrive on challenges, love working as part of a team, and never shy away from learning something new. So, if you're on the lookout for someone who lives and breathes code, someone who's self-taught but hungry for more, then let's connect. Together, we can embark on an epic adventure, building groundbreaking software and making our mark in the tech realm.#NerdAtHeart #SelfTaughtCoder #GameDevEnthusiast #BringOnTheChallenge
