About David Preiss

David D. Preiss is a psychologist interested in the psychology of creativity, intelligence, metacognition, and attentional dispositions. He is a Professor of Psychology at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He holds a PhD. in Psychology from Yale University. He was Chair of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile’s School of Psychology between 2013 and 2019. He is the co-editor of 5 books in different areas of psychology published by Erlbaum (now Routledge), Springer Publishing Company, Psychology Press, Academic Press and Palgrave-Macmillan. Preiss is the author of more than 50 papers and chapters in the fields of cultural psychology and educational psychology. He is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science. He is also the author of five collections of poetry.
