About David Purdy

Emergency Medicine Consultant with a special interest in Mental Health and Education. Currently in my final year of a Masters in Clinical Education where I'm researching the impact of AI on medical students. I'm also an RCEM Examiner, an ALS and APLS Instructor and have completed fellowships in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. My commitment to improving patient care and clinical processes is reflected in two recent award-winning Quality Improvement Projects. Both had a measurable impact on Mental Healthcare in the ED and were presented at National conferences. Prior to commencing my EM training I worked as a volunteer Doctor in the South District of Zanzibar through the charity HIPZ. The role was a mixture of service development and frontline care and has had a lasting impact on my career and personal outlook.
