A wise man never stops learning, trying, adapting and evolving. For with each experience, it can be categorized as a success to be repeated or a failure that needs to be tweaked. I am competitive by nature. When I have been told that I am not able to do that, I energetically research to bring new ideas to the table from what I have learned from past experiences. I am proud that some of the companies that I have worked for did not have the rosiest of futures at a particular point in time of my joining them, but with my knuckling down and thinking of the bigger picture for the long haul, I got them back on track and humming. I've worn many hats in the banking industry. I have been in a managerial/supervisory role in community banks responsible for the audit and reporting side of banking."That is not in my job description," is not in my index of phrases. If the maintenance worker has the day off and the toilet is clogged and overflowing, I will and have responded to the immediate problem and arranged for the professionals to solve it properly. I learned from one of my earliest bosses that no man or company gets to the top without respect from all members of the company. I am not above the aggregate of the persons that work within the company of which I am a member just because I may have a title. In the end, I would like to be remembered as a man who didn’t look down on those who looked up to me, but as someone who earned their respect, gave respect and assisted as many as I could.
