Driven by a passion for problem-solving in the world of technology, I bring a unique and diverse background to the table. My journey began with a foundational interest in computing and digital media, blossoming into a career that's taken me through various roles - from Information Technology Specialist to Programmer and even as Systems Administrator for a reputable indie music collaboration group. This early experience instilled in me a practical understanding of IT infrastructure and a knack for finding creative solutions. My pursuit of formal education led to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UAA, and recently, an Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity from UAF. While studying cybersecurity, I developed a compelling interest in the use of AI Large Language Models (LLMs) as a powerful research tool - particularly in fields like cybersecurity and IT Service Management (ITSM). My experience has shown me the potential of LLMs for accelerating research and various applications, and I'm eager to explore how this technology can be leveraged further. I'm a highly motivated and resourceful individual who thrives on tackling complex challenges. Professionally, I consistently demonstrate punctuality, dedication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. I possess a solid understanding of fundamental IT principles, including HIPAA compliance, security analysis, and system/network administration. My programming skills are well-developed, shaped from legacy Java (though I've been expanding my C# proficiency through game mod projects - a fun way to keep my skills sharp!). I'm comfortable navigating the balance between the productivity of higher-level languages and the performance considerations that come with them. Beyond professional experience, I've cultivated a robust 'homelab' environment - a collection of racked hardware including an OPNSense firewall and systems ranging from powerful machines to simple Raspberry Pi clusters. This ongoing personal project allows me to continually experiment with different technologies and deepen my understanding of system architecture. I also have experience in multimedia design, including video editing, audio production, web development, and graphic design, a legacy from a passion for music and sound design. I'm currently seeking opportunities to contribute my skills and experience to a dynamic team, particularly roles that leverage my cybersecurity knowledge, programming skills, and growing understanding of AI and LLMs. I'm excited to learn and contribute to the evolving landscape of technology.
