Background
About David Reese
More than 35 years in broadcast journalism, mostly in Southern California. KNBC, KCBS, KCAL, KTTV.I've been around. Assignment Editor, Producer, Reporter; I've filled many roles and won 7 Emmy® awards along the way. As a News Director, I am passionate about creating a quality product that delivers empowering information. I say Crime is the crack cocaine of TV news; it's cheap, it's easy and it's bad for you. Obviously public safety is one thing, but mindless robberies and assaults and mayhem without context has rendered many TV newscasts useless to the public. We can do better. My hope is that as broadcast journalism evolves in this digital age, we morph into something we can all be proud of.
