About David Rico

Applying my experience in Systems Engineering techniques over five year to operations across multiple disciplines, I've proven a principal resource in any team. Adept at data analysis, statistical modeling, and risk management, I strive to solve problems in the design and management of complex systems.Working as part of the City of Mesa Transportation department, I help guide decision-making and long-term safety strategy through detailed statistical analysis. I improve communications across multiple departments to mitigate errors in critical data which saves several months of processing time each year. My holistic approach to design and implementation ensures all stakeholders have fair input and that all aspects of a project are considered. I accepted a promotional offer within the city to coordinate the vision of public safety within the City of Mesa. I work with both the Transportation and Police Department to develop action plans that ensure efficient workflows through data analytics.At the University of Arizona College of Engineering, I worked with a tech company as a project manager to develop and manufacture a stereoscopic virtual reality device. The prototype received many nominations for effective design and business strategy, and was presented to UA executives as an example of the College of Engineering's accomplishments.
