About David Riverol

Hello there! My name is David Riverol and I am a Montclair State University graduate who majored in Communication and Media Arts hoping to one day be a voice actor/writer for animated television. I am a professional esports broadcaster and have been for the last 6 years, namely for the incredibly popular fighting game from Nintendo, Super Smash Brothers. My job is to keep the stream entertained and informed by providing live play by play analysis of the matches at hand, while bringing personality and knowledge to every new stream I get the pleasure and privilege to cast on. During my time at Montclair State, I worked for an organization called Esteem Engine Inc. as a screenwriter for the pilot of a children's educational animated series titled "Right Track Village" based on the children's book "I Can Be Who I Am!" by Esteem Engine's founder and owner Ron Johnson. Within a month I was promoted to the title of "Writing Facilitator" and was tasked with running the writers room meetings as well as working on the script. Other responsibilities included writing treatments for future episodes as well as mapping out the order of said episodes and multiple story arch's for the entire first season (Project was cancelled in post). Since early 2013, I have been producing, writing, editing and posting my own gaming videos on Youtube under the alias and tagline "Nintoonist." The content includes video series' called "let's plays" which are podcasts executed while playing a video game with the live game itself as the footage for the video, topical vlogs, game reviews and comedy videos, and countdown lists all concerning gaming. Ever since a large spike in late 2016 due to capitalizing on the latest meme trends, I gained a small following of about and growing. In 2021 I switched my focus entirely to podcasting, and started a weekly comedy/banter podcast titled "The Double D Experience" alongside my co-host Dennis.
