About David Rivier

Senior leader in product and engineering with over 15 years experience ( CPO, CPTO, VP Product & Engineering,… ) in international environments, I have worked for companies such as Skype, Skyscanner, Barclays, and HP as well as for well known startups such as WonderBill (Shell / BCG X ), Concrete Platform (now Quinyx), and 118118Money. Currently, I am the CPO at UnderwriteMe ( Pacific Life Re), an insurtech that uses data analytics and machine learning to provide real-time risk assessments and make life insurance more accessible. I have extensive expertise in building, transforming and leading customer and product-led businesses in fintech, insurtech, Retailtech, travel, telecoms, and consulting. I have also driven product development in Asia, North America, and Europe and specialised in turnaround and transformation initiatives. I am passionate about mentoring startups and top talent in product and engineering. My focus areas include business, product and engineering strategy, developing new offerings, turnarounds, market expansion, recruitment, execution, and advisory roles. I participate time to time in lectures, panels on product management and entrepreneurship e.g. Genoa Entrepreneurship School (a collaboration between Genoa and Georgetown universities), the Master of IT in Business (MITB) program at Singapore Management University, and at the LSE Entrepreneurship Student Union. I am bilingual in French and English.
