About David Robert

I design, produce and deliver to market trustworthy, helpful and useful robots, AI and new interactive experiences. I'm a collaborative, hands-on, human-centered, Human-Robot-Interaction (HRI) Designer & Scientist bridging creative and technical efforts. Currently, I provide Design Direction and actively develop HRI: UX/UI/ID at Boston Dynamics (BD). In my lab, I develop and test new HRI methods, products and features. I also do research & public outreach. I work on Spot (qudruped), Stretch (warehouse robot) and Atlas (humanoid) as well as special projects. Past roles-Designed & launched an educational consumer robot product line in China -Product work on self-driving shuttle vehicles & fleet management software -Creative Roboticist and Graduate Researcher at MIT Media Lab's Personal Robots Group -Immersive Experience Designer -Procedural Animation production pipeline consulting & building -Character Animation and special effects for film
