About David Rogers

David Rogers is a chartered physiotherapist with nearly 30 years’ experience of helping people with musculoskeletal pain to recover function and regain their quality of life. He is currently leading an MSK Transformation programme within Birmingham and Solihull ICS. He specialises in training organisations and healthcare professionals to understand how they can minimise the risk of back pain disability by using a biopsychosocial approach and has vast experience working within both heathcare and occupational sectors After completing a degree in Sports Studies, in 1994 he qualified as a chartered physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham and in 2010 gained his Masters degree in Pain Science and Management from Keele University. He is currently playing an active role in large research trials relating to back pain. His main work base is at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, where he has established a combined physical and psychological treatment service for people with persistent backpain within an interdisciplinary team. This work is focused on applying a biopsychosocial approach to recovery, using cognitive behavioural principles aimed at maximising recovery. He is the author of 'Back To Life' a self help book aimed at providing a tool kit of resources and education to help people with back pain Recently completed Pg Dip in Digital Health Lesdership Programme at Imperial College London
