During my time at Well Pharmacy I led the North East and Cumbria Region. Highlights Successfully Traded all Pharmacies through the Pandemic. Well Spotlight Awards - Region of the Year 2019. Well Spotlight Awards - Leader of the Year Winner 2018. Flu vaccination top performing region 2018, 2019 and 2020. 100% of Stores completing 400 MURS in 2018 CCG Year, and all years since. 7 consecutive years of script growth. I was a Divisional Director for Waterstones Booksellers from 2002 until February 2013 overseeing 110 stores across 6 regions generating over £150m p.a. I was also a Director for Waterstones Ireland from 2006 until February 2013. Highlights; Led the division to outperform all other business areas for 7 years with regard to all internal KPI measurements, such as profit and sales growth, absences, labour turnover, staff to sales ratio, and stock turn. Pioneered and created the nationwide "Get Selling" training programme that included introducing a mystery shopper initiative and official dress code, and led to recognition by the "Which" awards and the Mary Portas survey. Improved team motivation and results (including promotions of 3 regional managers) by facilitating an inclusive and positive environment emphasising trust and honesty. During 2009 - 2010 I was appointed Interim Operations Director for Waterstones. Highlights; Coordinated the division-wide profit and loss, sales results, and customer service efforts for more than 300 stores in 21 regions (encompassing more than 5K employees). Liaised with corporate leaders to develop and implement the strategic 3-year Medium Term Plan. Controlled the incorporation of 10 central London Books Etc stores (acquired via Borders UK). Steered the complete re-branding of the Books Etc business within 4 weeks, involving the assessment, training and modification of operational procedures in order to open the stores for trading. Launched a successful new format flagship concept at Liverpool One, featuring innovative products as well as Paperchase and concessions within the 25K sq ft store.
