About David Roxburgh
David is a promoted member of the School of Education within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde. He has extensive experience in the management and delivery of initial teacher education on both the 4-year undergraduate BA honours programme and the 1-year Professional Graduate Diploma in Primary Education. Alongside this, he is committed to promoting internationalisation, particularly in the context of China. Until 2018, David was the Depute Director of the Strathclyde China Institute (SCI). He continues to be outward facing through his current part-time role as the Faculty Director for Student Mobility (China) and, more recently, South Korea. Within the School of Education, David has led on a range of research and knowledge exchange collaborations with a number of Chinese partners. At a research level, David’s interests are varied, but focus primarily on examining the promotion of Chinese language and culture in schools.
