About David Rulestead

I've always been the kid that wanted to know how the world worked. I would constantly ask my parents and teachers why things were the way they were. I still am that way, but the only person I bug now is Google. I'm addicted to solving problems. It's something that's always been a part of my life. Growing up, my family didn't have much money, so finding unconventional solutions to difficult problems has just been something that I've always had to do. When I was 43rd on a waitlist for a college class required to graduate, I was told by my school to hope that the 42 people in front of me wouldn't take any future open seats or I would be forced to postpone my graduation another semester. In a class that only fit 30 people I couldn't take the chance. I decided to write a program that surpassed my school's notification system by sending me an alert sooner than anyone on the waitlist. I was able to get into the class one day after the program was running. I've also written a program that would notify me when hard to get products were back in stock so I would be able to buy them and sell them online for a profit. In my free time I love learning everything I can about business and technology. Figuring out how businesses can use new technologies to their advantage is a passion of mine. The world is changing very quickly and I can't wait to be a part of it. I plan on using my skills at Meijer, where I have accepted a full time position as an Application Developer.
