About David S. Miller

David S. Miller is Co-founder and COO of Ambient Carbon, which is developing and commercializing technology to eradicate low-concentration methane emissions from livestock, mining, water treatment, biogas production, landfills, etc. He started as an entrepreneur in the 1980’s, delivering digital publishing solutions to book and magazine publishers. In the 1990’s, he founded and ran a software localization company that became Denmark’s largest translation company, where he was responsible for sales and marketing, and managed a staff of over 60 employees. David’s focus on climate change began in the early As Communications Manager at Maersk Oil’s Carbon & Climate Department, David was responsible for the department’s external and internal communications, as well as informing employees about climate crisis risks and opportunities. He was part of the team that developed a program to store CO2 in depleted North Sea oil wells, and was one of the company’s representatives at the U.N. Climate Change Conference COP15. As Strategic Communications Consultant for Vestas, David was a key member of the team that won top awards in Denmark and internationally for the wind turbine manufacturer’s Energy Transparency campaign. At Samsø Energy Academy, he ran an international program to convey how to involve local communities when introducing renewable energy projects. David is from New Jersey, and has been living in Copenhagen since 1981. He attended Wesleyan University before moving to Denmark, and holds an MA in Communications from Roskilde University.
