About David S. Robertson

Over twenty five years of experience in Architectural Practice and Construction as Project Designer and Project Director for large-scale Hotel and Mixed-Use projects in Asia and the US. Partner in a small firm focused on retail and multi-family housing as well as working as a sole proprietor and business owner for renovation and design firm of single-family residential projects. I have proven Leadership experience in International team building and project coordination. I have a strong interest and focus in construction Detailing and Materials and Methods. Although a substantial amount of my work history involves large scale Mixed-Use and Hospitality work, I started out my career as a carpenter's apprentice while in college and continue to enjoy the process of putting things together in material form at a detailed level. I have a strong background in digital artwork and graphic design and continue to explore new software types as facilitators of the design process and as a means of a more effective presentation exchange. I am equally comfortable working out problems on paper in sketch form in the field as I am developing 3-D models in digital form and enjoy getting my hands dirty in actual site work as much as I do in working within the virtual realm of computers. Accountability versus Participation: I hold a firm belief that there must be a willingness to take ownership of any project or task and strive for A Leadership Role.
