About David Sadler

BACKGROUND: Raised in a construction family in a north-central Iowa town of Eagle Grove (Sadler Construction Company, Sadler Coatings and Sadler Electric). Included early hands-on experience in a wide range of construction activities. Also worked several college summers with Sadler Coatings which specializes in the applications of elastomeric roof coatings and polyurthane spray foam insulation. EDUCATION: Attended Iowa State University upon obtaining undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture in 1991. Attended Drake University receiving masters degree in Public Administration in December 2013. INTERESTS: Utilizing my background, education and experience, my desire is to provide high quality design and project administration on a wide range of public improvement projects. Interested in providing functional, appealing and sustainable public open spaces with the goal of increasing health benefits, property values, and overall quality of life it brings to the community. Also interested in the latest trends in community growth including sustainable design methods, community branding, walkability, and revitalizing existing urban areas. Primary focus is on ensuring that available funding is spent wisely, and that all projects ultimately make our communities more livable, healthy and sustainable. Specialties: Park and recreation, sustainable design, community branding, construction administration, building relationships within construction & development industry, and public resource management.
