About David Salas

Petroleum Engineer with more than 17 years of experience working at the oil & gas industry, with special emphasis in Reservoir Dynamic Characterization (conventional analysis, monitoring, reservoir simulation and integrated management), conducting studies both in conventional and unconventional (heavy oil) kind of reservoirs. His experience comprises of: conventional reservoir analysis, reserves estimation, well testing analysis, water control analysis, reservoir monitoring and simulation, EOR and integrated reservoir management in mature fields, among others. He has obtained his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, with efficiency index of 1, in and a MSc in Petroleum Production Engineering at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2008. His skills also include management of specialized software:such as Oil Field Manager, Pansystem, Prosper, GAP, MBal, Eclipse (pre and post-processors), Petrel, CMG platform (Builder, IMEX, Stars) and basic Windows platform. Basic use of ARIES Economic Evaluations software. High capabilities and skills working in and leading multi-disciplinary teams and dealing effectively in high pressure work environments and any kind of professional challenge.
