About David Sayers

I am a Graduate from the University of New Mexico (UNM) Executive Masters in Business Administration Program (2022). Prior to my Masters program I received a Bachelors in Business Administration Majoring in Marketing and Operations Management. I have spent the last 8 years working to serve small business and entrepreneurs to achieve their goals. I have also provided a range of small business services including technical assistance, system navigation and funding opportunities. I have funded over entrepreneurs and small businesses in New Mexico via grants or loans throughout my professional career. During my time serving as the Small Business Office Manager with the City of Albuquerque, I have successfully designed and administered a COVID19 grant program known as the City of Albuquerque Micro-business Relief Program; a program that focused on supporting businesses that had five or less employees during the COVID19 pandemic with grants up to Soon thereafter, I designed and managed the City of Albuquerque Small Business Grant Program where we continued funding grants up to for businesses with fifty or less employees. In May of 2020, the City of Albuquerque Economic Development received a Silver Award for Neighborhood and Retail Development and a Bronze Award for Resiliency, Recovery and Mitigation in recognition of the City of Albuquerque Micro-business Relief Program. I am currently serving Nusenda as a Community Development Program Manager. My role is primarily focused on maintaining Nusenda's Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Certification and supporting programing with our community partners.
