Expertise in multiple states including Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Commercial, Academic, Water and Wastewater, and Multi Use Properties. ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Grew the skills and capabilities of the precon team from estimating less than $1 M projects to projects larger than $50 M • Managed the conversion of T&M to Lump Sum projects / contracts successfully such that all money and profit remains in the Lump Sum contract • Delivered large value Design Assist projects, ensuring there is a comprehensive understanding of client requirements such that the overall team can be successful GENERAL BACKGROUND The combination of being an architect and an estimator has enabled me to acquire a great deal of knowledge across many project types and in various positions throughout my career. Involvement in these projects range from pre-construction to design to documentation to construction administration. This has enabled me to learn a good deal about problem solving across a large spectrum of the AEC industry and has made me a stronger professional. Other areas of experience include design/production side drafting, managing day-to-day items during the documentation phase, coordination with engineers and consultants and an understanding of the equilibrium that exists in accommodating the clients’ needs while providing a sensible solution to what the budget allows for. Researching building products, an ever-growing familiarity with the building and national electrical codes, reviewing general conditions, architectural and electrical specifications have increased my technical knowledge significantly. My interest in lean construction and total quality management has grown over the years, based in part from graduate school and from job-related situations where traditional design-bid-build may not have always been the best solution.
