As Singing Teacher in Clongowes Wood College, my students have won awards at Feis Ceoil, Wesley Interschools Music Festival, Sligo Feis Ceoil, Navan Choral Festival, Kilcoole Music Festival. In 2019 one of my students won the National Junior Rosebowl Title at Feis Ceoil. Three of my students have been accepted for full time third level study as singers in the Royal Irish Academy of Music. I have much experience as a performing singer, and have worked with Irish National Opera, RTÉ, Wide Open Opera, Opera Theatre Company, Glasthule Opera and Opera in the Open. As a musicologist my dissertation on 'Post-Modern Opera' was chosen and the best undergraduate dissertation in 2012 by CHMHE. I completed an MPhil on Irish Song in 2017 and presented papers on Irish composers Ina Boyle and Thomas O'Brien Butler at the Society of Musicology of Ireland's annual conferences in 2016 and 2018.
