About David Sebert

I've spent my career in positions helping organizations achieve results through an approach that is collaborative, disciplined, and fact based. I have been fortunate to do this in Financial Service and Manufacturing companies – as a people leader and individual contributor – both in the United States and overseas. My passion is applying data science while developing the mindsets and skills necessary for improvements that are sustainable. I joined Nationwide to train associates in techniques that are proven to improve the customer experience and increase operational efficiency. This led to coaching individuals and leading teams in product sales and service organizations. Also, as the leader of a call center, I was able to provide direction that significantly decreased calls by dissatisfied customers and reduced expenses for our organization. My current focus is leading digitally based experiments that enable product and service organizations to excel in an iterative "test and learn" environment. My education, career, and external experiences have allowed me to develop the following strengths: • Identifying credible, data-based recommendations for improvement • Synthesizing information into understandable and compelling stories that facilitate action • Providing analysis and direction for big data efforts • Influencing without authority • Coaching with empathy I am lucky to have a great focus group - my wife, two teenage boys, and a squirrel chasing poodle who is determined to get his first catch!
