About David Sheridan

As a skilled, professional and commercially minded Chartered Accountant, I offer a broad range of accounting and management skills to an organisation and its finance team. I have had exposure to Executive Leadership Teams and Board of Directors, highlighting operational problems with proposed solutions. I was awarded a Corrs Scholarship in 2011 and completed the Leadership Development Program in Singapore, a one week course aimed at mid to senior-level managers. My strong work ethic is evidenced by a number of examples where I have gone the extra mile. I have demonstrated my capabilities in the provision of quality financial information, high level operational support and sound strategic advice relating to financial performance that enabled key stakeholders to make informed business decisions. My collaborative approach has resulted in junior finance staff gaining valuable accounting and software skills that allowed them to increase efficiency. My personable approach enables me to work cohesively in any team environment. I have a passion for a fast paced environment where my accounting, business and stakeholder management skills can be fully utilised. My keen eye for reporting detail, coupled with in depth knowledge of Excel 2007, has enabled me to prioritise competing tasks whilst maintaining accuracy. This resulted in key stakeholders and management making informed business decisions. I am confident using Excel and enjoy manipulating large data extracts by using vlookups, pivot tables, match, offset, data tables, simple macros and complex charts. I am also comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
