Currently working for Nationwide on a special project in Data Governance performing Reference Data Management by building dashboards for data certification. I built and delivered a Power BI dashboard using a report in Databricks that showed how much of our data was mapped versus unmapped, allowing our associates to locate unmapped data for action and our leaders to know the current status. My most significant achievement at Wells Fargo was building a robot that did my job for me and getting a raise for doing it. Translation: I made a work distribution tool in Microsoft Office Excel by recording Macros and editing them with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The tool let me do what had been my most time-consuming task in less than thirty minutes, just by pushing a few buttons. My manager saw a lot of value in the time savings and the simplification of the process. Most of my successes at my daily tasks amount to efficiently and effectively reading a large amount of material: either looking a large number of cases/loans to answer a few questions or a small number of cases/loans to answer a bunch of questions. Success with both relied on my ability to create repeatable plan for the review, execute it, and refine it for speed and accuracy. I succeeded with process improvements: creating them, streamlining them, and retiring them. I contributed to the risk meetings that determined the need for a new control process. I have submitted JIRA tickets for new reports, translated the needs of the business to our technology partners so they can produce a working report, then tested that report to confirm it worked as needed. I have developed processes around those reports: breaking down the reports for distribution, creating the review process, analyzing the results of the reviews produced, packaging the final results for management, and training others on each of those steps when finalized.
