About David Singer

I’m a design leader that thrives in complex service, product and organisational systems, weaving together human-centred research, participatory design and organisational change to create scalable and sustainable outcomes, across physical and digital domains. Earlier in my career I was a mental health social worker and social care transformation lead, so I understand the value of co-production, the power of personalisation and the need to hold in balance citizen, stakeholder and organisational needs and requirements.Today I lead Transform’s design projects and programmes with public and private sector clients. Clients include HMCTS, DIT, HMLR, DFE, DESNZ, Santander, IKEA and the BBC. With each of my clients I help them to harness and make best use of research and design methods; build communities of design and change; lead collaborative, multidisciplinary teams through all phases of research and design. I work hard to help build safe, inclusive and supportive spaces for my colleagues to achieve great things.A significant highlight for me in recent years was leading the total re-design of HMCTS’s Immigration and Asylum Tribunal services. Our work won Best Public Sector Service Design at the international SDN 2021 Awards and was recently selected as a case study now published in the Cabinet Office and Policy Profession's 2025 milestone document, the Public Design Evidence Review.
