About David Sochol

Given that the future is unknowable, the question I seek to answer is "How can I improve my ability - on a relative basis - to better predict future outcomes?" How does one build a better mosaic and a more successful investment process? It starts with doing the work that matters and balancing the strength of one's convictions with the need to be humble. As an experienced equity investor, my goal is to leverage my strengths (industry knowledge, investing expertise and people skills) to develop actionable investment insights and thus generate attractive risk-adjusted returns. I seek to be a highly effective and low-ego team member who forges strong and trusted relationships and helps create and implement winning strategies. I have substantial experience on both the sell-side and buy-side with long-only firms and hedge funds and have a successful track record as an investment analyst, portfolio manager and research group head. I enjoy client marketing and relationship-building as well as writing and creating content that is clear, compelling and persuasive. I also enjoy mentoring younger talent and see their success as my success. Ultimately, I want to contribute to building something truly great and make a positive and lasting difference.
