About David Solis

I have 25 years of comprehensive experience in the financial services industry and have demonstrated leadership and vision as an accomplished IT executive. I currently lead the enterprise and solution architecture for services, products, and payments at Citibanamex, one of the largest banks in Mexico.I aim to design and provide secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that address complex challenges and meet stakeholders' requirements. I highlight driving innovation and digital transformation through disruptive technologies and methodologies while maintaining high-quality standards.I architectured and led the development of critical-mission software systems for two of Mexico's most important financial market infrastructures: Indeval, the Central Securities Depository, and CCV, the Central Clearing Counterparty.I have a Ph.D. in Actuarial Science and a master's degree in Quantitative Finance, specializing in applying machine learning techniques to finance. These programs have given me fundamental financial modeling, statistical analysis, and risk assessment knowledge to develop innovative solutions for data-driven decision-making. I complemented these studies with a Management Development Program at a business school. I have another master's degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, I have achieved several certificates and diplomas in systems engineering, behavioral economics, innovation and design thinking, enterprise architecture, and software architecture.A multi-disciplinary committee selected my doctoral thesis as one of the finalists for the IMEF/EY International Financial Research Award 2021.I hold five certifications in Kubernetes and several certifications in diverse blockchain domains. Additionally, I have authored a research paper on distributed ledger technology, specifically focused on its application in a post-trade financial infrastructure.I use my eclectic knowledge and comprehensive expertise to lead and empower teams of highly skilled professionals effectively. By working collaboratively with stakeholders, I actively contribute to the development and growth of the financial industry in Mexico.
