About David Soloff

Once upon a time someone described me as a Systems Theorist. I think this is accurate. Systems fascinate me, be they linguistic, market or electronic in nature. I am building OTT Risk, a company whose aim is to reinsure the economic fallout from systemic and unpredictable perils. There are risks the current insurance industry by and large deems “uninsurable.” However, in this new era of unprecedented volatility, it's critical we close the business continuity coverage gap to build resilience among businesses and citizens. I was the founding CEO of Premise. We operate a software platform for empowering the world’s highest impact institutions and companies to track and comprehend ground truth. We have raised $150+m from WestCap, Valor, Google, Social Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. I was a Venture Partner with Bowery Capital, an early stage venture fund backing the next generation of B2B market leaders. This gave me good perspective on how others struggle with, succeed at or fail in building transformative businesses. It also showed me that I would be a terrible VC. Lessons learned. I was the founding CEO of Metamarkets, a leader in streaming analytics for the programmatic media markets, which was acquired by Snapchat in November 2017. I have a decade and a half of capital markets, data infrastructure and tech startup experience, running the gamut from quant modeling, to product design, to corporate strategy. I advise established companies on data, digital, new product and monetization strategies. I actively support early-stage companies in getting products to market.
