About David Sosnowski

I am a university qualified Electronic engineer who ventured in sales and customer service after my Bachelor Degree in the mid '90s. I began as a Sales Engineer in power generation with Cummins and Genpower. In 2006 I began a 10 year journey with Ingal EPS as Sales and Logistics Coordinator, joining a small team of customer focussed individuals priorotising ownership of supply and communication with customers. As our niche group disbanded, i moved into a Sales Rep/BDM role continuing with those same core values previously established. Lack of progression forced me to consider other industry roles, but didnt have to move too far to begin as a BDM with Haneco Lighting in 2016. Drawing on established relationships within the electrical wholesale branch network allowed me to continue to develop my knowledge base in wholesale trade lighting, and work with great people in operational, procurement, marketing and sales departments. I stepped into a Lighting Consultant role with HI LIghting during 2020, working with electrical consultants and engineers. This is the highlight of my career to date - good people, aligned vision to market with a quality driven lighting range well supported and recognised. I got enticed back into wholesale lighting at the end of 2022 with Ledvance however i did not get the same job satisfaction and so my mind swayed away from lighting for a short period of time before the Account Manager Specification SA role became available with Zumtobel/Thorn Lighting. I draw on my past experiences and relationships, pride myself on communication and honesty to assist our project lighting partners with their lighting opportunities.
