About David Speckler

Data-driven self-starter with a passion for serving others and solving complex problems. It's said if you really want to learn something, try it out yourself. These words couldn't ring truer. As a founder of my small business, Amour Fou Boutique, I've learned a tremendous amount about the extensive efforts, struggles, excitement, setbacks, and pure joy that go into creating something that is yours. This shop began after a spontaneous brainstorming session with my partner, trying to discover ways we could merge our shared interest in arts and crafts with mine for business. With little surprise, our naturally creative minds left no stone unturned as we honed in on some potential options. A few skips and a hop later, we had a business plan, detailed procedures for our product creation, an active Etsy shop (soon to become a Wix store), some product inventory, a marketing plan, and, almost instantaneously, excited customers. At the conclusion of our first year, we reached 90k in sales. We are now in the process of expanding our 2 person shop to be capable of serving a larger market.
