About David Stacey
I have recently retired from teaching a full range of writing courses from first year composition to MA level research and writing, and composition pedagogy. My research interests include the American philosopher of language Kenneth Burke, contemporary rhetoric, new jazz studies, composition studies, critical theory, teaching with technology, and 20th C. American literature. I am an avid jazz fan and an amateur trumpet player. Also a proud charter member of the Redwood Jazz Alliance, a group of enthusiasts who work to bring contemporary jazz musicians to perform in Humboldt County.Specialties: See above.
