Background

About David Stainton

graduated from the University of East London with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Studies. I then pursued a post graduate certificate of education (PGCE) specialising in the early years, and have recently completed my masters in International Education. I have taken part in various professional development courses, including the official ‘Reggio Emilia Digital study tour 2021.’ My love for teaching started at the young age of 19, when i taught voluntarily to a local class of four year olds. Since then, my passion, creativity and experience has grown, teaching in EYFS, IB-PYP, Montessori and Reggio inspired schools, accumulating a valuable understanding of the development of young children. Throughout my many years of teaching experience, As well as being a home room teacher, I have also worked in roles such as grade head and education manager. I firmly believes that education should be ‘nothing without joy,’ and that every single engagement, lesson or experience should be exciting, interesting and thought provoking. I believe children are powerful, competent, creative, curious and full of potential! As such, I thrive in child led learning environments, working side by side with them, building the environment and curriculum around the children’s interests.
