About David Stevenson

I lead all Finite Carbon's Canadian operations which focus on Improved Forest Management (IFM) carbon offset development and sales in both voluntary and compliance markets. By sales, Finite Carbon is the global leader in nature based solution offsets having sold more than 100 million tonnes to date. Drawing from over three decades of forestry experience in both the private and public sectors in Canada, I am an expert in the confluence of forest carbon and forest policy in Canada. I maintain Registered Professional Forester status in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and New Brunswick. I am a member of the Canadian Institute of Forestry and the Society of American Foresters and am active with the Association of Saskatchewan Forestry Professionals as a Councilor and with Canadian Forestry Accreditation Board as an auditor. I started my career as a humble tree planter in northern Ontario which just goes to show how one can accidentally back into career.
