As a dedicated healthcare professional and educator with over a decade of experience in physical therapy, I am passionate about advancing the field through clinical excellence, innovative education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. My career has been marked by a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes, particularly in underserved populations. I have extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular focus on persistent pain conditions and rehabilitation. In my current role as a faculty member and Director of Clinical Education at Marquette University, I leverage my clinical expertise to shape the next generation of physical therapists. I teach in the Department of Physical Therapy, where I advise student-led clinics, oversee students' clinical experiences, and deliver lectures that bridge theory and practice. My work in academia is complemented by my leadership in expanding a pro bono student-run clinic, which provides essential services to uninsured community members. This initiative not only addresses a critical gap in healthcare access but also offers invaluable real-world experience for students. Currently, I am pursuing an MBA to further enhance my skills in business strategy, financial analysis, and healthcare management. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to contribute effectively to the development of innovative healthcare models and to lead initiatives that integrate physical therapy with other health and wellness disciplines. Additionally, I have developed a strong interest in the financial health and viability of private colleges, exploring ways to ensure these institutions can thrive in a competitive and evolving educational landscape. Key accomplishments include: 1. Spearheading the development of a new interdisciplinary persistent pain program clinic, which combines physical therapy, occupational therapy, and counseling psychology to provide holistic care. Leading a team of student physical therapists to successfully transition our pro bono clinic into a community-based setting, significantly increasing patient access to quality care. Delivering presentations on the impact of generative AI in healthcare education, with a focus on enhancing learning outcomes and clinical decision-making. I am driven by a mission to empower both patients and students through education, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care. I am always looking for new opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and lead in the ever-evolving healthcare and higher education landscape.
