About David Stone

I'm a creative director and community builder leading the strategy, development and execution of visual story driven content and experiences designed to influence audiences and differentiate brands building a better future: 2 Webby Awards • Emmy Award • Vimeo Best of the Year Nomination : 100M+ views • 10% avg. engagement lift • 2× social growth : I design and lead breakthrough creative solutions that translate complex messaging into impactful, one-of-a-kind engagements. From pioneering VR activations for AMEX and Marriott to launching AIGA Chicago’s Design in the Age of AI series, I bring cultural fluency, future-forward thinking and distinct visions to make work that makes a difference: Charting an atypical path—cutting my teeth leading production and shadowing top creatives at Ogilvy before transitioning to creative leadership—has given me unique insight on both sides of the brief: from crafting big-picture strategic concepts to guiding multilingual, cross-functional global teams to deliver ambitiously bespoke executions at scale. Along the way, I’ve built a worldwide network of trusted collaborators to bring bold ideas to life—across mediums, cultures, timelines, and budgets: As a Board Member of AIGA Chicago, I lead programming and production of sell-out speaking engagements exploring the future of creativity while providing opportunities for the Chicago creative community to connect across all levels and roles. I’m also deep in the void of revising a far-future sci-fi thriller novel, which I fully intend to finish before the heat death of this universe. Let’s go make something that’s never been done before.
