About David Stringer

As Design Lead for AtkinsRéalis on the Yorkshire Water Stormwater Alliance, I have a key role in driving collaborative design strategies and managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable water infrastructure solutions. I was previously a Principal Engineer at SYSTRA, I was Sublot Lead for the Rivers Team for the Delta Junction of HS2, ensuring robust technical delivery through effective program management, cost control, and assurance processes. Previously, at Sapphire Utility Services, I managed the design program for the Storm Spill Reduction Programme in AMP7, overseeing the full project lifecycle from concept through to detailed design. With over a decade of experience in water management at Yorkshire Water, I held overall accountability for six major projects running concurrently as a Technical Manager. I led a team of six, delivering predictive and proactive analytics to support exceptional operational performance. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Physical Geography from the University of Liverpool and have furthered my expertise in sustainable practices through studies in Nature-Based Solutions for Water & Land Management at Cranfield University.
