Petrinex (Canada’s Petroleum Information Network) Petrinex is a joint strategic organization supporting Canada’s upstream, midstream and downstream petroleum industry and is currently represented by the Government (Alberta Ministry of Energy and Minerals (EM), the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources (SER), the British Columbia Ministries of Finance (FIN) and Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation (EMLI), British Columbia Energy Regulator (BCER), the Manitoba Ministry of Economic Development, Investment and Trade (EDIT), Indian Oil & Gas Canada (IOGC) and Industry (represented by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and The Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC)). Petrinex operates under a unique and proven Crown-Industry governance, management and funding structure. Serving multiple stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, Petrinex facilitates efficient, standardized, safe and accurate management /exchange of "data of record" information essential to the operation of the petroleum sector. Petrinex utilizes a web-based system for its automated business functions and processes by using Microsoft leading edge technologies. Petrinex has over active users and processes over 3 million submissions per month. Actualization and Settlement (A&S) An internal web based application in Alberta Energy and Mineral to handle actualization and settlement (A&S) of royalty and marketing transactions. It is used by 5 different business groups.
