As A/Fire Safety Manager I provide fire safety excellence conduct audit and compliance of the portfolio of associated properties in meeting legislative requirements and responsibilities in line with NSW Health Policy Directive _024 2010 Fire Safety in Health Care Facilities, AS 4083_2010 Planning for emergencies - Health care facilities & AS 3745_2010 -'Planning for Emergencies in Facilities' & NCC. Provide training-St Vincent’s Hospital,Sacred Heart Health Services,St Vincent’s Private Hospital,The Mater,SVC,St Joseph’s Village/Hospital.SV & MHS and employs over 6,500 staff. Create training schedules. The preparation of asset audits for fire systems (detection, protection, wet and dry). Reporting fire safety issues to the FSM and raise work orders. Preparing and distributing fire related procedures and guidelines. Responding to alarm codes as part of IRT(Incident Response Team) responding to Codes Red, Orange, Yellow, Purple and Brown. Audit and compliance of the portfolio of associated properties. Prepare written procedures for fire safety. Assist SV & MHS to have emergency control structures to ensure building owner safety obligations are met. Conduct fire safety audits, maintenance records, AS1851-2005, evacuation drawings are correct, fire safety management plan is in place. Provide assistance to the FSM / management to have employees participate in Fire Safety Education and maintain records. Monitor day-to-day fire prevention, protection and fire safety functions. Conduct “Practical use of Fire Equipment” and conduct “Emergency Evacuation Exercises” in the ESTC or as directed by SV & MHS. Conduct building evacuation exercises and orientation for new employees. Assist the FSM in development of and implementation of staff, Wardens and Incident Response as part of (IRT). Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and provide written reports. Issue Dry / Hot Works Permits, isolations.
