About David Tobin

David is an acclaimed composer, arranger, orchestra and conductor. He studied recorder and oboe at The Guildhall School of Music, and then went on to do a degree in Film Scoring at Berklee, Boston, USA. He is a member of BAFTA and the Ivors Academy of Composers and Songwriters. He has 20 years of credits in Film, TV, Radio, Advertising and theatre, in the UK and the U.S. He is a regular face at many famous studios including Abbey Road and Air Studios. His orchestrations have been played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Session Orchestra and orchestras across Europe. David has a specialism in ancient music, including a large collection of period instruments. Over the last 14 years, David has built up a unique working relationship with Jeff Meegan. David works closely with Jeff Meegan. MEEGAN & TOBIN Together they have written for 14 years, amassing more than works together for an enviable client list including Disney, BBC, HBO, ITV and Samuel Goldwin, also working for audio branding & bespoke clients: eg Disney. They’ve scored documentaries, including Super Size Me 2, Bettany Hughes' Treasures Of The World and multiple Geoffrey Baer PBS docs. in the US.
