About David Tosh

I am a thoroughly meticulous web app developer with over 2 decades hands-on commercial development experience with a detailed knowledge of a number of web languages, frameworks and technologies. I'm well versed in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and their latest iterations. On the server-side I'm extremely experienced with the JVM language ColdFusion, using engines from Macromedia, Adobe, Railo and Lucee. I've used an array of database engines and am well versed in SQL. I have extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Having applied knowledge of full stack web development life-cycle(s), and some of the more complex technology stacks, I am experienced with a number of full stack or more specialised roles. My primary enjoyment comes from crafting simple clean semantic code, adhering to common sense best practices and conventions. I've learned the hard way the pros and cons of complexity, frameworks and design patterns; what to use, when and why. I'm used to balancing the purists principles of Agile, Kanban/Scrum, and TDD, while being pragmatic enough to deliver what a business demands.
