About David Tunney

I became an engineer to create - to bring new technology and new ideas to bear to solve problems and allow people to do things they couldn't do before. That goal - that passion - hasn't changed for me, and it is also my approach to my work, and to any task to which I apply myself. There are problems to be solved with new ideas, new capabilities to be established where they did not previously exist, and new and interesting people to meet along the journey. Over the last 20 years in Program Management and Pursuit, I have led lean, cross-functional Teams that have successfully captured, launched and executed multi-billion dollar defence programs with domestic and international customers. My previous experience in Engineering and Export Compliance complement my Program Management and Business Development experience and give me a broader context. This background allows me to listen to our prospective clients, internal process centers and stakeholders, as well as our partners and key suppliers, and work to find the best fit of products and services to meet that client's needs. My personal passion has always been the exploration of space, and I enjoy bringing my diverse background to the particular challenges of essentially creating a commercial ecosystem from the ground up! For us to go to space as a species will mean leveraging emerging technologies, expanding the art of the possible, and inventing whole new ways of doing things. That's a problem I am looking forward to help solving!
