About David Tyner

It is my honor and privilege to have worked and served with so many terrific professionals and friends over the decades. My goal is to create or enhance opportunities that will provide a positive benefit for others. I am currently a senior associate broker at Degginger, McIntosh & Associates, Inc.(DMA). I provide broker services to my valued clients in the design, engineering, nonprofit, technology and manufacturing sectors. My former commercial insurance agency TYRISCO, INC, was awarded the $6.5 Billion Seattle Monorail Project. TYRISCO was also awarded the University of Washington’s Business School Business of Tomorrow Award in 2002. His clients included Starbucks Coffee Company, the Port of Seattle, Bank of America, major nonprofits and design-engineering firms. I currently serve as Committee Chair, of the Seattle Post, Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and am an active member of the Pacific NW Defense Coalition (PNDC). I've received multiple Certificates of Appreciation awards from the University of Washington’s Business and Economic Development Program for my work as a risk management advisor. Having served both Governors Locke and Gregoire as a Commissioner, Commission on African- American Affairs and I've also worked with Mayors Schell and Nickels on the City of Seattle Small Business Task Force. I was inducted into the Afro-American Sports Hall of Fame along with UW Coach Don James for my community work as founder of the TABOR 100. I am a United States Air Force Veteran and have received the Air Force Commendation Medal and Vietnam Service Medal among other recognition service awards.
