About David Tyson

I originally trained in Audio Engineering at MAINZ and have done sporadic work in live sound and band recording environments. In 2015 I started work with Futureworks as they created a team in Christchurch to fulfil a large contract with the University of Canterbury for the upgrading and installation of AV systems across campus. My role ranged from physical installation of equipment, configuration, commissioning & testing, site management and customer liaison. Since October 2017 I have been contracting as an AV Technician. It has allowed me the opportunity to work in varying environments – from large scale corporate meeting room systems, to lecture theatres and educational institutes, and sound systems for hospitality. It has also introduced me to a wide range of products and solutions and has allowed me to work with the industry's best people and solutions. As a contractor I have been expected to manage and complete physical installation of equipment, commissioning systems and handing over completed solutions for clients. As well as this I have good experience in servicing & troubleshooting systems. My expertise lies in attention to detail, coordination of jobs, documentation, a high standard of installation and a professional customer facing manner.
