About David U. B. Liu

Schemer of transdomain (un)doings, I provoke and plot amidst chaos and im/possibility in the live wiring of this whirligig world. No "individual" or functionary in any "whole," I do this as if a ronin in a clunking maelstrom, breaching grammatical number, the bureaucratized niche, adsorbed loyalties. Through sundry traversals and part-takings, I share what I ill know so as truly to un/learn, write through deep dives, and create (frugally) what abets poetic life. I am perpetually ignorant, and learn by naively swiveling - stitching - through the gaps. Out of this bare mendicancy I am building a generic concept of "interaffectivity" as the "omniporosity of affect." Reaching toward a timely basal thought, I coax several streams of (non)sense across lands and tides to rethink "affecting and being affected" as our seeping, swirling polyrhythm. I do this through a string of forays and as a sustained work. Throughout, I keep unthinking subjects/objects in favor of inter/intrajects, where reality is differentially metabolic (interaffecting/ed), be it (meta)stable, persistent, or motile. Naturally all this also enfolds certain eco-ethical, vital, political queries and demands. To trial this concept, I am pre-assembling a collaboratory for Rome named Mangroves as a dynamic node for doers and thinkers to swing together through - with the broadest, boldest of views and deep counterdesign - the most acute matterings of our long (un)becoming(s).If you would like to be linked on this platform, please message me specifying what interests you in my work and how a linkage might advance our respective projects.
