David Van Tieghem's music and performance videos have been seen in museums, galleries, nightclubs, and on TV around the world. He has performed solo percussion at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Beacon Theater, on David Letterman, and throughout North America, Europe and Japan. He has played drums and percussion for Talking Heads, Brian Eno, David Byrne, Duran Duran, Laurie Anderson, Peter Gordon, Arthur Russell, and Steve Reich, among others. He has sound designed and composed music for well over 100 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, as well as numerous films, working with Orlando Bloom, Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Ellen Barkin, Christopher Walken, Frank Langella, Kevin Kline, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Liam Neeson, Matthew Broderick, Laura Linney, Rachel Weisz, Sigourney Weaver and Christopher Plummer, to name a few. He has also written music for The New York Rangers, The New York Knicks, Twyla Tharp, Pilobolus, the Boston Ballet, the Pennsylvania Ballet, Doug Varone & Dancers, Elizabeth Streb Dance Company, NASDAQ, Movado, Reebok, Neiman Marcus, Avon, L'Oreal, Macy's, Charles Schwab, Cunard, Conde Nast, The New Yorker, Revlon, Tiffany, Lancome, Prudential, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ann Klein, Hasselblad, Time Inc, Chanel, Business Week, Bell Canada, Sony, Kodak, Starbucks, Bergdorf Goodman, the New York Times, Lincoln Mercury and MTV.
