Combining the functions of Senior Architect and Operations Manager for the Miles Product Team at BMW Financial Services. As a team we are responsible for Miles, the CMS application used at BMW FS Belgium and BMW FS Netherlands. As the Senior Architect I am responsible for the architecture landscape formed by Miles and integrated parties. Using the existing frameworks in Miles and now MMP, I have led multiple projects to create our own integrations without the need of Sofico development, as well as multiple side projects to improve the quality of our delivery (both our own delivery as that of our vendors). As Operation Manager I lead the OPS part of the team, responsible for both the day-to-day operations of the servers, databases, certificates. that Miles runs on and. We are also responsible for the technical design and maintenance of the integrations between Miles and other parties. I also coordinate and assist our configurators (as this was my previous job), especially with the technical part of their job (e.g. providing them with SQL expertise). With a background of working at Sofico as a developer, and my first years at BMW as a configurator, I combine both the technical and more businesslike aspects of Miles. This variation is still visible in my job, and has made sure that after almost 10 years of working with Miles, I haven't been bored once!
