Experienced Finance Professional with 27 years service as Expenditure Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Project Supervisor, Team Leader and Accounts Assistant roles. These were across Public, Charity, Education and Housing sectors. I am confident, approachable, reliable, knowledgeable and have always been respected by colleagues with whom I have formed a strong bond, resulting in very productive working environments. I have excelled in managerial tasks within all my teams from creating job specifications, conducting interviews, training, personal reviews, development recommendations, individual mentoring, continuous support, encouragement, guidance, improved working procedures, system implementation, though to conducting disciplinary and terminations. In addition to 13 years in managerial positions I have a wealth of knowledge throughout Accounts Payable in roles completing invoice / expenses processing, payments, credit cards, help desk, statements, month end, yearend, bank reconciliation, debit balances, SLA and stats to list a selection. With my hands on approach I continue to complete all tasks I managed. I continually seek to implement better working practices with proven success making sure maximum efficiency is achieve while actively engaging with team members to allow them to express their full potential.
